Understand what stays fixed and what can change
When you print a GreenQRCode dynamic QR, the code contains a stable public access point. When scanned, GreenQRCode finds the relevant QR and opens the intended destination: a professional showcase, a content page or, for a dynamic URL QR, an authorised external web address.
The key idea is simple:
- the printed QR stays the same as long as you keep that same QR in your account;
- the associated showcase or content can evolve depending on the QR type;
- you therefore do not need to reprint your media for every text correction, opening-hours change, new link, new photo or other update supported by the showcase.
Deleting a QR and creating another one, however, creates a new access point. To benefit from the dynamic model, keep the existing QR and update its showcase instead.
Static QR vs dynamic QR: what is the difference?
A static QR directly encodes final information such as a URL. If that information changes, the printed QR itself cannot be rewritten, so a new QR generally needs to be generated and distributed.

Step 1: decide what the person should see after scanning
Before choosing colours or QR styling, define the objective. Ask what you want someone to do immediately after scanning:
- view a resume or portfolio;

- make contact, request a quote or perform another action offered by the selected showcase.
The best QR is not the one containing the most information, but the one that leads quickly to the right content for the right use case.
Step 2: choose the right showcase instead of mixing everything together

Most scans happen from a smartphone. The page opened after scanning should therefore be immediately understandable on a small screen.
For an effective first version:
- place the main information near the top;
- use short headings and a clear hierarchy;
- avoid unnecessarily long paragraphs;
- highlight the most important buttons or actions;
- check phone numbers, addresses, links and opening hours before publishing;
- only add media that genuinely helps the visitor.
A dynamic QR makes later corrections easier, but a clear first version builds confidence from the first scan.
Step 4: customise the QR without damaging scan reliability
Customisation helps the QR fit your visual identity, but readability remains the priority. A highly decorative QR that is difficult to scan is counterproductive.

- keep strong contrast between the QR and its background;
- avoid overly busy backgrounds;
- leave sufficient clear space around the QR;

Step 5: test before printing
Testing should not stop at checking that the QR works on your own phone. Try it in real usage conditions.
- scan with several smartphones when possible;
- test the final print size rather than only a large on-screen version;
- check scanning at the normal viewing distance;
- verify links, buttons, forms and media inside the showcase;
- test the medium under its real lighting conditions if it will be used in a window, on a table or outdoors;
- make sure the call to action clearly explains why someone should scan.
For a large print run, one test copy costs far less than reprinting an entire batch.
Step 6: distribute the same QR on appropriate media
Once validated, the same QR can be reused across many copies and, depending on the use case, on several media. Every copy of that same QR then opens the same associated showcase.
