The Memorial QR / memorial plaque turns a QR code into discreet access to a tribute page: portrait, dates, memories, photos, video, resting place and messages from relatives can be brought together in a mobile-friendly showcase.
The same QR can be placed on a memorial plaque, funeral marker, announcement, ceremony booklet, thank-you card or another remembrance medium. As long as the QR remains the same, the showcase can be enriched or corrected without replacing media already distributed.

Create a digital tribute without overloading the plaque
A physical plaque offers little space. The QR keeps the medium understated while giving visitors access to a fuller presentation after scanning.
The showcase can display the full name, portrait, birth and death dates, epitaph, introduction and a longer tribute text. Each section can be shown or hidden depending on what the family wants to make public.
Tell a life story through up to 8 meaningful moments
The life moments section supports up to 8 entries. Each can contain a year or period, a title and a text.
These markers can reflect a birth, meeting, marriage, profession, journey, passion, commitment or any other important memory. They give structure to the tribute without requiring a complete biography.
Share up to 12 photos and a remembrance video
The gallery can contain up to 12 photos. Each image can have alternative text and a caption to provide context: portrait, family photo, favourite place, milestone or an everyday memory.
An HTTPS video link can also be displayed for a remembrance montage, recorded ceremony or another video hosted on an external service.

Show a resting place and provide directions
The showcase can display the resting place name, its address and a directions link. This may help relatives find a cemetery, columbarium, memorial garden or another place of remembrance.
The place name, address and directions button can be controlled separately, so you can identify the location without necessarily publishing the full address.
A ceremony note can also be shown when relevant and hidden later without deleting the rest of the memorial.
Add a family message or an external tribute
A Family message block can contain text separate from the main life story: thanks, a shared thought, practical information for relatives or a commemorative message.
The showcase can also link to an external tribute such as a charity page, foundation, memorial space or another HTTPS website chosen by the family. Both the link and its label are optional.
Open a tribute guestbook, with moderation
The tribute guestbook is optional. When enabled, a visitor can submit their name, relationship to the person and a message.
Moderation can require approval before publication. This lets the family review contributions and decide which ones appear on the public page. If the guestbook is disabled, its public form is no longer available.

Offer sharing and an optional primary action
The share button can be enabled to make it easier to send the memorial page to relatives. An optional primary button can point to the guestbook, gallery, resting place or an external link.
This keeps the page simple and highlights only actions that are genuinely useful.
Choose exactly what becomes public
A memorial can contain personal information and should be published carefully. The showcase is designed to remain private by default until publication has been deliberately confirmed.
To make the page public, GreenQRCode requires confirmation that you have the necessary permission. You can also choose whether search engines may index the page. With indexing disabled, the memorial can remain accessible through its QR or link while deliberately staying out of search results.
Before publication, review names, dates, photos, addresses, texts and links. Publish only information the family genuinely wants to share.
Personalise the atmosphere with three starting palettes
The showcase offers three understated starting palettes:
- Ivory & Anthracite;
- Midnight blue & Silver;
- Sepia & Linen.
Advanced personalisation then lets you adjust colours, typography, content width, header, card and button styles. Selected Google Fonts offered by GreenQRCode can also be used.
The goal is not to add visual effects for their own sake, but to create a readable page consistent with the tone of the tribute.
Track views and interactions
Depending on the analytics level available with the plan, GreenQRCode can track showcase views and several interactions: gallery opens, remembrance video, directions, external link, primary button, sharing and tribute submissions.
This can help the family understand whether the gallery or guestbook is being used without turning the memorial into an advertising tool.
A memorial plaque whose digital content is not frozen
The main benefit of a dynamic QR is separating the physical medium from the page it opens. Once a plaque or remembrance item has been installed, you can add a photo, complete a life moment, correct text or hide information without changing the QR already printed or engraved.
The memorial can therefore be built progressively: begin with a portrait and a few words, then enrich it as the family gathers more memories.
Precautions before installing the QR
- Test the QR on the real medium. Check its size, contrast, scanning distance and several smartphones before permanent installation.
- Avoid unnecessarily sensitive information. A private address, personal number or family detail does not need to be public when it serves no purpose.
- Check rights for photos and videos. Make sure the content can be shared and respects the people shown.
- Use guestbook moderation. Prior approval is recommended when public contributions are enabled.
- Review indexing. Deliberately decide whether the memorial should be discoverable through search engines.
- Keep the same QR for content updates. Correcting the page does not require creating a new QR.
