Restaurant Menu + WhatsApp Ordering turns one QR code into a complete digital menu: dishes, photos, prices, variants, extras, allergens and ordering modes remain accessible from a customer's phone and can be updated without reprinting physical media.
The main QR can be placed on a window, counter, flyer, business card or table stand. When the per-table QR option is enabled, every table can also have its own QR while opening the same menu, with automatic table identification and dedicated analytics.

Update the menu without reprinting QR codes
The main advantage of a dynamic menu is separating physical media from content. Once the QR is installed, you can correct a price, hide an unavailable dish, change a photo, add a promotion or update service hours without replacing the QR already printed.
The showcase can display the restaurant name, tagline, introduction, currency, service hours, address, phone number and website. It can remain unpublished while being prepared and made public only when it is ready for customers.
Organise up to 12 categories and 80 dishes
The menu supports up to 12 categories and 80 dishes or products. Categories can represent starters, mains, burgers, pizzas, desserts, drinks, children's menus or any other structure that fits the restaurant.
Each item can contain a name, description, photo, normal price, promotional price and availability status. A dish can also be featured or marked as the chef's special so it appears in a dedicated block when that option is enabled.
Customers can search the menu and filter by category, keeping the page easy to browse even with a large number of items.
Manage variants, sizes and extras
One dish can offer up to 6 variants with their own prices: small or large pizza, single or double meal, drink size or another relevant choice.
You can also add up to 8 extras per item, each with a name, price and availability status. Customers select these options in the cart before preparing the WhatsApp order.
The final amount reflects the chosen variant, extras, quantities, any promotional price and, for delivery, the configured delivery fee.
Show useful food information
The showcase can display the main regulated allergens, possible traces and a general allergy notice. Allergen display can be enabled or hidden according to the restaurant's needs.
Dietary labels can also identify vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, lactose-free, homemade or new items, together with a spice level.
This information helps customers read the menu but does not replace direct communication with the restaurant when someone has a severe allergy or a specific dietary requirement.
Prepare an order directly for WhatsApp
When orders are open, customers add products to the cart, choose variants and extras, then enter the required information. GreenQRCode builds a detailed message and opens the restaurant's WhatsApp conversation.
Three ordering modes can be offered: pickup, delivery and at table. The message can include customer name and phone, delivery address, table, requested time, order notes and allergy information.
The restaurant can also configure a minimum order amount, delivery fee, estimated pickup time, estimated delivery time and an ordering notice.
This is not an online payment system. The showcase prepares the request and sends it to WhatsApp; the restaurant keeps its own confirmation, payment and fulfilment process.
Pause orders without disabling the menu
The menu can stay public even when the kitchen should no longer receive orders. Disable the accepting-orders switch and the menu remains available while clearly showing that ordering is closed.
A WhatsApp number is not required while orders are disabled. The QR can therefore work as a digital menu only, and WhatsApp ordering can be turned back on when service conditions allow it.
Per-table QR: a different QR for every table, one menu to manage
The per-table QR option creates a distinct entry point for each table without creating a different menu for each one. Every table receives an identifier and a unique token inside its QR.
When a customer scans the QR for “Table 12”, the menu automatically recognises that table. If the “at table” mode is available, it is preselected and the table field is prefilled. When the order is prepared, Table 12 is added to the WhatsApp message so staff immediately know where the order belongs.
Tables can be created one by one or generated in batches, reordered, enabled or disabled, and each QR can be viewed or downloaded as SVG. When several tables are active, all table QR codes can also be downloaded together in a ZIP archive.
Image slot 2 — the per-table QR journey
Suggestion: three numbered tables with three different QR codes, then a smartphone showing “You are at Table 12” with “At table” already selected. Add an arrow to one central menu to show that all tables share the same content.
Update one menu for every table
Per-table QR codes do not duplicate restaurant content. Dishes, prices, photos, allergens, promotions, service hours and settings remain managed in one showcase.
If a dessert price changes or a dish becomes unavailable, the change is immediately visible from the main QR and every table QR. There is no need to reprint 20, 50 or 100 table codes simply because the menu changes.
The number of available table QR codes depends on the account plan and active options. When extra capacity is needed, GreenQRCode includes the “Per-table QR — pack 25” option.
Track scans and actions table by table
When per-table QR is enabled, the administration can distinguish interactions for every table. Metrics include scans and actions for WhatsApp orders, phone, website, CTA and sharing.
This makes it possible to identify where customers actually use the QR, whether they order through WhatsApp or prefer another action, and whether a physical QR sign should be moved or redesigned.
These analytics measure menu usage; they do not turn a table into a customer account and do not require a separate menu.
Add a chef's special, CTA and sharing
The chef's special module can highlight one item marked as the daily special. It is useful for a lunch offer, temporary dessert or product the team wants to promote during service.
An optional CTA can open an external HTTPS URL, such as a reservation page. The menu can also expose phone, website and sharing actions when those details are configured.
Customise the menu appearance
The editor can adjust background, surface, text, accent and button colours; choose a font style or compatible Google Font; and configure hero, cards, buttons and content width.
The aim is to bring the digital menu closer to the restaurant's visual identity while keeping it fast to read on mobile. Before publishing, check contrast, image size and price readability.
Prepare SEO and publication
An SEO title and SEO description can be provided for the public page. You can also control publication and decide when the menu becomes accessible to customers.
Before installing physical QR codes, test the complete journey on several phones: menu opening, search, variants, extras, cart calculation, WhatsApp, phone, website, sharing and, when using per-table QR, correct recognition of each table.

Suggestion: four-screen sequence “choose dish → variant and extras → cart → prefilled WhatsApp message”, including an at-table order example.
Mistakes to avoid before printing
- Printing before testing the real QR. Check scanning at the actual size and on the material that will be used.
- Creating a new QR for a simple price change. Update the existing showcase so installed media keeps working.
- Forgetting to pause orders. If the kitchen cannot accept more requests, disable ordering while keeping the menu visible.
- Leaving allergens or availability out of date. A digital menu remains useful only when its information is maintained.
- Using one generic QR on every table while expecting automatic table identification. Enable per-table QR so the table context is transmitted automatically.
- Changing table configuration without testing the affected QR. After important table changes, scan the relevant codes before service.
Image slot 4 — pre-service checklist
Suggestion: visual checklist “prices checked, availability updated, allergens reviewed, WhatsApp tested, pickup/delivery/table modes checked, every table QR scanned, analytics ready”.
One menu that follows daily restaurant operations
Restaurant Menu + WhatsApp Ordering keeps the QR stable while the content changes: prices, availability, daily special, photos, service hours and ordering modes can evolve without replacing printed material.
With per-table QR, the same principle goes further: every table has its own entry point while the team still manages one menu. The restaurant gets easier maintenance, a clearer ordering journey and more precise visibility into QR usage in the dining room.
